Madhur Bhandarkar has been
granted anticipatory bail in Preeti Jain rape case, on surety of Rs 30,
000. But he is not permitted to travel outside the country.
The next date of the hearing is scheduled on November 29.
The scandal rocked Madhur’s life way
back in 2004. It must be recalled that last month, the Andheri
Metropolitan Magistrates Court directed National Award-winning director
Madhur Bhandarkar to appear on November 14.
Reportedly, the court
was offended with Madhur’s absence on the day he was supposed to appear
before at Andheri Metropolitan Court i.e, Oct 18th. So, he was ordered
to appear on Nov 14 as the court observed prima facie that a case was
clearly made out against him.
