While the entire nation is enjoying the posters and promos of India’s
first erotic thriller ‘Hate Story’, West Bengal Board of Censorship is
finding Bengali actress Paoli Dam’s pictures too hot to handle.
The board has decided to use blue ink to blot out her dare-bare display on the posters of her upcoming film as it finds the pictures too obscene for public viewing.
It has passed six pictures, subject to amendments, the correction being covering her bare back and a hint of cleavage on the posters with blue ink.
As for the banned ones, the board objects to the actress showing her bare back and holding a pistol, and another where she’s seen in a compromising position with a man.
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film also stars Gulshan Devaiya and Nikhil Dwivedi and is slated to release on April 20, 2012.
