The TV channel that was supposed to air the show titled ‘Swayamwar Season 4- Veena Ka Vivah’ has shut down for good.
India’s original drama queen Rakhi Sawant was almost like the “brand ambassador’ of the channel that had aired shows of hers life ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamwar’, ‘Ghazab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaaniyan’, ‘Pati, Patni Aur Who’ and ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’.
Describing her contribution to the channel that has now closed, Rakhi while talking to a daily said, “Maine channel ko kahan se kahan pahuncha diya tha! (I had taken the channel to newer heights). I and top channel guys like Samir Nair had worked hard to make my ‘Swayamwar’ a superhit show with such high TRPS. Par ek Pakistani panauti Imagine TV ko kha gayi! I wish they had not touched her.”
Moreover, she is confident that she will be able to give a new lease of life to the channel.
“I really hope some other channel takes over Imagine TV. They should bring back Samir and along with him, I would like to do another dhamakedar show for the channel all over again, which will make the TRPs zoom! I pray to Jesus that all those who have lost their jobs, find good jobs and their families don`t have to suffer!,” Rakhi said.
