IT's A GLORIOUS MOMENT FOR ALL OF US" - SANJAY SHARMA
" I had first narrated my script of DUNNO Y NA JAANE KYUN to a
senior lady editor and one trade journalist. My confidence soared as
soon as they expressed a positive response to the script. Zeenat Aman
and Helen ware already signed for the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law
roles respectively and Kapil Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar, both young
pillars of the film who played the gay couple were challenged by many
orthodox thinkers from some groups too who werent too inclined to the
film's thought process. I had a previsualisation of the whole film and
my family also supported me. On the day of the launch it was a high tide
and we had booked the Amendi bungalow, Yaari Road for 20 days. My
father K.C. Sharma who is an astrologer too and my mother had all come
to bless me and the entire unit. Zeenat Aman,Helen,Parikshat Sahni,Asha
Sachdev,Kapil Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar were sitting with their
makeup ready
in the vanity vans. I knew I was creating history . Several scenes of
homosexuality were presented in the most daring manner but without
being vulgar and that was the beauty of my presentation I think. It's a
glorious moment for all of us.
