Bhojpuri Actress Ruby Singh Commits Suicide In Mumbai

25-year-old Bhojpuri actress Ruby singh committed suicide at her rented flat in Ram mandir , Goregaon (W) on Friday.

Ruby Singh left behind a suicide note in which she said that nobody should be held responsible for her death. According to the police, Ruby was depressed and had attempted suicide in Bihar a year ago by consuming sleeping pills.

Ruby's parents live in Patna where her father is a deputy superintendent of police.

Ruby was single and stayed at the MMRDA colony on Ram Mandir Road. Her body was discovered by Rohit, her former neighbour from Bihar, who would visit her whenever he was in Mumbai.

"Rohit is an actor and was staying in a hotel in Kandivli. On Thursday, he went to Ruby's flat and found that she had popped a few sleeping pills. He called up Ruby's mother and told her about the pills. Ruby spoke to her mother at length. Rohit left only after ensuring that Ruby's health was okay," the officer added.

On Friday, Rohit went to Ruby's flat around 3.30pm and rang the doorbell. "When nobody answered, Rohit forced the door open and found Ruby hanging from the ceiling fan with a dupatta," the officer said. The Goregaon police have registered a case of accidental death.
